Edificio La Pampa

CABA. BUENOS AIRES
In the Bajo Belgrano area, facing the Golf Course, an 8-story building was designed on a lot measuring 17.32 meters in frontage and 30 meters in depth. The required 3.00-meter side setbacks were respected, resulting in a building detached from the party walls.

The floor plan is organized into two three-room units per level, both with views to the front and rear. The living rooms and open-plan kitchens are located at the front, while the bedrooms face the rear.

This layout allowed for the organization of a central core running parallel to the party walls. A central concrete volume was defined, from which the living-dining areas are suspended with tension rods, forming glass boxes of complete transparency facing the Golf Course. The rear-facing bedrooms are expressed as a white volume with horizontal windows. The ground floor, with double-height ceilings, is a green space of total transparency where cars are parked. The entrance hall is conceived as a low box made of glass brick and mirrors. The upper termination is defined by two duplex units that take advantage of the roof terrace, creating a volume of singular character set against the dense existing greenery.
The concept, while respecting the classical principles of modernity, is composed of a base, a main body, and a top. The proposed proportions and materials reflect a building of contemporary architecture. The final image is one of modern technology in aluminum, glass, and concrete, clearly expressing both the architectural design and the structural design.
