Club CASA

CABA. BUENOS AIRES
Based on what had once been the Club of the Circle of Non-Commissioned Officers, the proposal for the new Argentine Sephardic Athletic Club is organized. Understanding that the former club did not meet the client’s needs, that there were a number of deteriorated and non-compliant buildings, but also values worth preserving, the proposal is structured accordingly.

The Club is set on the edges of Parque 3 de Febrero and still preserves some of the park’s mature trees. On the site there was also a rationalist-style building, completely deteriorated and repeatedly altered, with temporary additions that blocked long views from one end of the property to the other.
The decision was therefore to strengthen the existing tree groves, define and restore the social headquarters, and place the remaining requested and proposed programs in a way that fosters a dialogue between the natural and the artificial, between the new and what was inherited—recovering the site’s history and enhancing the strength of the ensemble.
